All or Nothing: Arsenal

Over the summer of 2022, I cut two episodes (5 and 6) of Amazon Prime’s All or Nothing, telling the dramatic story of Arsenal FC’s 2021/22 season.

The series gives an intriguing look behind the scenes of a professional sports team, and examines the personalities and psychologies of those who compete and coach at the very highest level. The films show manager Mikel Arteta’s struggles with star striker - and huge club personality - Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, as he butts up against the limits of Mikel’s personal and professional standards. There’s also a look at how a huge football club navigates the transfer market, and how a manager can try and impose a detailed new methodology on a group of young players.
